Dancin’ at Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse

So I had an absolute BLAST djin’ (sat­ur­day night) at Figueroa Moun­tain Farm­house!!! It was really AWESOME!! The bride (Megan) is one of the pro­duc­ers of Amer­i­can Idol. The groom (Clay) is also in T.V. & Pro­duc­tion in L.A. I have to say these two peo­ple are some of the nicest peo­ple I’ve met. And one of the most impor­tant things to them (on their wed­ding day) was the music and enter­tain­ment. Thus, it was an honor to be hired as the “main enter­tain­ment” (see above photo) for din­ner & dancing.

In edi­tion to my efforts, I was able to work with a few of the bride & grooms close friends on the wed­ding cer­e­mony music. I played 2 pre-recorded songs for the bridal party and bride (Re: Stacks by Bon Iver & Some­where Over the Rain­bow by Izzy) to walk down the isle too. Dur­ing the cer­e­mony three of their friends played (un-ampilified  & accapella) and sang the song from the ONCE sound­track… Falling Slowly. It was AMAZING!! They were so good! For the wed­ding reces­sional, they had an “old time band” (Triple Chicken Foot) play the wed­ding reces­sional. These guys couldn’t have been bet­ter!! They played banjo, vio­lin & acoustic gui­tar and sang… once the cer­e­mony fin­ished… Triple Chicken Foot con­tin­ued play­ing “old time music” for the cock­tail hour inside the farmhouse.
